What happens at your first visit

Plan for about
60–75 minutes.

Your first appointment is a thorough evaluation — not a quick adjustment. We take the time to understand your full history and see your spine clearly before recommending anything.

Comprehensive Health History
Dr. Weber reviews your current complaints, past injuries, prior treatments, medications, and health goals — in detail, not in a rush.
Posture & Structural Assessment
A full postural analysis identifies visible asymmetries, compensatory patterns, and areas of concern before imaging confirms them.
Digital Spinal X-Rays
PostureRay digital imaging captures precise measurements of your spinal curves. You’ll see your actual alignment (red) overlaid against the ideal (green) on screen.
Report of Findings
Dr. Weber presents your findings in plain language — what’s wrong, why it matters, and exactly what he recommends. Questions are always encouraged.
Your Personalized Care Plan
Based on your X-ray measurements and exam findings, Dr. Weber outlines a specific treatment plan — visit frequency, expected duration, and projected outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from
new patients.

Do I need a referral to see Dr. Weber?
No referral is needed. You can book directly as a new patient — online or by calling 703-447-1121. Some insurance plans may require a referral for coverage, so we recommend calling us first and we’ll verify that for you.
Is chiropractic care covered by my insurance?
We are in-network with Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, CareFirst, and UnitedHealthCare. Most plans cover chiropractic care, though the number of visits, copay amounts, and deductibles vary. We’ll verify your specific benefits before your first visit so you know exactly what to expect.
What makes CBP different from regular chiropractic?
Traditional chiropractic focuses primarily on pain relief through adjustments. Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) goes further — it uses quantitative X-ray analysis to identify the exact degree of spinal misalignment, then applies precision traction and adjustments to structurally correct those curves toward the ideal. The goal is measurable, documented spinal change — not just temporary symptom relief. Think orthodontics for your spine.
Will X-rays be taken at my first visit?
In most cases, yes. Digital spinal X-rays are a cornerstone of the CBP approach — they reveal structural information that simply cannot be obtained through physical examination alone. Dr. Weber’s published research has helped establish the clinical necessity of imaging for precise treatment planning. If you’ve had recent spinal X-rays or MRI, please bring them — this may reduce the need for additional imaging.
How long does the first appointment take?
Plan for 60–75 minutes. This includes your health history review, postural assessment, digital X-rays, and your full Report of Findings with Dr. Weber. We don’t rush new patient consultations — this time is essential to building a precise, effective care plan.
How many visits will I need?
It depends entirely on your specific spinal findings, how long the problem has been present, and your goals. Dr. Weber will give you a clear, honest recommendation after reviewing your X-rays — including visit frequency, estimated duration, and realistic outcomes. There’s no pressure, and you’re always free to ask questions before committing.
I’ve seen other chiropractors without success. Is CBP different?
This is one of the most common things we hear from new patients. CBP is fundamentally different in that it addresses the structural root cause — not just symptoms. Many patients who have cycled through adjustments, physical therapy, and even injections find lasting relief through CBP because, for the first time, the underlying spinal geometry is actually being corrected. Dr. Weber has personally experienced this journey and understands the frustration of temporary relief.
Is spinal traction safe?
Yes, when performed correctly and based on precise X-ray measurements. CBP traction is not generic — it is customized to your specific spinal curve deviations and applied in mirror-image fashion to the areas that need correction. Dr. Weber completes every traction setup personally and adjusts it based on your response and progress imaging.
